Everyone says blogging is the way to connect these days. Well, I am thinking there are so many ways it is hard to choose just one. Being a Realtor I we have to try everything and to that end, I am on Facebook, Twitter and now am blogging here on my personal web site along with a personal chat capability so that when people come to my website they can also talk directly with me if I am online at the same time. I find that I am spending much more time in front of my computer than "the old days" and many more people seem to be connecting with technology first. It is fun, but administratively it is time consuming.

Fortunately, for me, I have a wonderful assistant but the name of Chickie and she is my right and left hands at times. Hopefully this fall you will be seeing more and more of Chickie on my blog and website as she learns and comes up to speed.

I am not sure what my comments will be about -- they definitely will not all be about real estate and what is going on in the markets -- that does tend to get tedious and boring. I think more of the time, it will be just random thoughts and ideas.

Like George Steinbrenner died yesterday -- sad day for Yankee fans all over the world. Whether you liked him or not, he was legendary and his passing marks the end of an era. He was only 81 -- that is young these days. Both my husband and my daughter and son-in-law were saddened by the news.

It is hot here in Vero Beach today -- already 84 and humid. All of this heat and humidity has caused my pool to get out of balance so I have been dealing with its "greening" and I think I may be finally getting things back under control -- another few days.

I am going to sign off for today and will be back tomorrow -- if you are here in Vero looking for a second home or investment home, please call me. There are still some good deals out here, but they are fast going.
